Yes, we traveled around it, but that wasn’t all. We also visited mountain villages, lemon groves, Greco-Roman fortresses, and much more.

Thassos has many gorgeous beaches, but here are the 5 most beautiful ones that made us fall in love with the island:
Marble Beach, Thassos (Saliara Beach)
Marble Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Thassos. The beach is covered with small white pebbles that make the water look even bluer. The water is very clear and has a gorgeous color. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself stopping often to take pictures.
The road there isn’t exactly easy. It’s a rocky, dusty road, so you have to drive slowly. But honestly, the view is worth the effort. When you get there and see that turquoise water, you quickly forget about the drive. The problem is that it gets crowded fast. So go early in the morning.
Karnagio Beach
Karnagio Beach is a beautiful beach in Limenas—easy to find and a wonderful spot for a relaxing break. It has white, marble-like pebbles, and the water is clear and beautifully colored. It’s not a very large beach, but that’s exactly what gives it its special charm.
I loved the atmosphere there. It feels relaxed, warm, and perfect for a few quiet hours by the sea. It’s the kind of place where you can soak up the sun, take beautiful photos, and enjoy the clear water without feeling like you have to rush off anywhere.

Arsanas Beach
Arsanas Beach is a narrow but very beautiful beach with a more rugged feel. It’s not the kind of beach that’s large and fully developed, but that’s exactly what makes it special. The sand is very fine, and the water has gorgeous hues, especially when the sun is shining.
I really liked the atmosphere here. It feels more natural, more peaceful, and a little “wilder” than other beaches on Thassos. It’s the perfect spot if you want to enjoy the sea, some peace and quiet, and a beach that feels a bit more secluded.
Paradise Beach
Paradise Beach is one of the most famous beaches on Thassos. It’s beautiful, with fine sand and very pleasant water, but it can get quite crowded during the day. It does, however, have a special charm, especially thanks to the color of the water and the vacation atmosphere.
If you want to enjoy the place more, it’s best to come in the morning. That’s when the beach is quieter, it’s easier to find a good spot, and you can really appreciate its beauty. Later in the day, it gets livelier, but it’s still a lovely place to visit in Thassos.
La Scala Beach
La Scala Beach is one of the most elegant beaches on Thassos. It has a more luxurious feel and seems very well organized, with plenty of relaxation areas and amenities for tourists. It’s probably one of the most developed beaches on the island, and the atmosphere feels different from the simpler, more natural beaches.
I really liked the palm trees here. There are so many of them, and they provide plenty of shade—which is perfect on a hot day. Plus, the spa area and indoor pool round out the experience. It’s the perfect beach if you’re looking for comfort, a premium atmosphere, and a carefree, relaxing day.
Generally speaking, in Thassos, there’s a minimum spend for a lounge chair, which can range from 10–15 euros per day to 30–50 euros per day. Basically, you don’t pay for the lounge chair itself, but you have to spend at least that amount.

Natura Beach Bar is one of Thassos’s pleasant surprises, especially if you’re looking for a laid-back beach without the pressure of a minimum drink order to use a lounge chair.
It’s located on the western side of the island and has a laid-back, simple, and very pleasant atmosphere. It’s not crowded at all, so you can enjoy the sea in peace.
I really liked the vibe of the place. Everything feels more laid-back and natural, without the hustle and bustle of the very touristy beaches. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for Thassos. A burger with fries costs just 10 euros, which makes it an even better spot for a full day at the beach.
