Unlike the spectacular beaches on the island’s west side, here you’ll find a peaceful atmosphere, far from the crowds and lively beach bars. The beach is narrow, covered with pebbles and rocks, and the water is extremely calm and clear thanks to the sheltered bay. The scenery is complemented by the surrounding green hills and the boats anchored in the bay, creating an authentic Mediterranean landscape.
Ksilokeratidi Beach is the ideal choice if you’re looking for a few hours of relaxation in nature or a snorkeling session in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. The beach doesn’t have sun loungers, umbrellas, or restaurants, so it’s recommended that you come prepared with water, snacks, and the necessary beach gear. Access involves a short walk along a rocky path (approx. 1 km), so it’s best to wear comfortable shoes. If you appreciate wild, unspoiled places and tranquility, Ksilokeratidi Beach offers one of the most authentic experiences on the island of Lefkada.
Milos Hidden Beach
Milos Hidden Beach is a wild and spectacular beach, tucked away just past Agios Nikitas on the west coast of the island of Lefkada. The waters are a deep shade of turquoise, and the beach is framed by cliffs and vegetation, offering a stunning natural landscape. Because there is no direct road access, the place has retained its authentic charm and is much quieter than other popular beaches on the island.
To get to Milos Hidden Beach, you have two options. You can hike up the rocky trail that starts right by the beach in Agios Nikitas and crosses the hill to the beach; the hike takes about 20 minutes. If you prefer an easier option, you can take a taxi boat from Agios Nikitas, which gets you there in just a few minutes. Whichever option you choose, you’ll be rewarded with one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches on Lefkada. We chose to climb the cliff. It was really exciting—we highly recommend it!
Orfanogianni Beach
This is the beach we liked best in Lefkada.
Orfanogianni Beach is one of the most spectacular and secluded beaches on Lefkada, tucked away in a wild cove surrounded by steep cliffs and lush vegetation. The beach is covered with white pebbles, and the water impresses with its intense shades of turquoise and exceptional clarity. Precisely because of its difficult access, you’ll usually find plenty of peace and quiet here, even in the middle of the summer season.
You can reach Orfanogianni Beach either by boat or overland, following a steep trail. The final stretch involves rappelling down a rope secured to the cliff, which turns the visit into a real adventure. For this reason, the beach is recommended for those accustomed to rugged terrain and looking for less accessible spots. There are no lounge chairs, beach bars, or other amenities, so it’s best to come prepared with water and everything you need for a few hours of relaxation.
Egremni Beach
Egremni Beach is one of the most spectacular beaches on Lefkada and is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in Greece. The beach impresses with its tall, white cliffs that drop steeply down to a long stretch of white pebbles and crystal-clear waters in intense shades of turquoise and blue. Thanks to its generous size and spectacular scenery, even during peak season you can find quieter spots where you can enjoy nature.
You can reach Egremni Beach either by car, followed by a walk down more than 400 steps, or by taxi boat or organized tours from Vasiliki and Nidri.
