Este greu să vorbești despre obiective turistice Viena fără să îți dorești să revii în acest oraș magic.

Iubim să explorăm obiectivele turistice din Viena, au un farmec aparte.

Am avut doar două zile la dispoziție, deoarece eram în Austria cu ocazia unei conferințe de turism.

Chiar și așa, în doar două zile am străbătut orașul în lung și în lat, locuri de vizitat în Viena fiind la tot pasul.

Dacă te gândești să vizitezi acest oraș minunat de pe malul Dunării, iată ce obiective turistice Viena poți vedea în două zile, dar și ce cazare să alegi în centrul Vienei!

Obiective turistice Viena de vizitat în 2 zile

We started our Vienna tour from the train station area, precisely because we had come by train from Linz. But we have to admit that our first stop was at the Aida Bakery, where we enjoyed a cake and a Viennese cappuccino that I still miss.

Am listat obiectivele turistice din Viena în această ordine datorită apropierii geografice. Astfel, te poți orienta mai ușor și îți poți configura traseul, poate chiar urmând această logică.

Nouă ni se par foarte utile astfel de ghiduri cu obiectivele turistice listate în ordine, nu pur și simplu aleatoriu. Dacă și tu consideri acest articol util, ne-am bucura să ne scrii un comentariu. 😊

Am încercat să ajungem și la Donau Turm (Turnul Dunării) de unde se poate vedea o panoramă superbă asupra orașului.

Dar, era deja prea târziu când am ajuns acolo și nu mai merita să plătim 26 de euro/ persoană urcarea pentru a nu vedea nimic. Data viitoare.

Cazare Viena centru

Pentru a te bucura de toate aceste obiective turistice din Viena, alege și o cazare aproape de centru.

Pentru noi, acest lucru este ca o regulă nescrisă. Fiind în centru, ai acces facil la cele mai frumoase atracții și nu ai grija transportului în comun.

Iată, mai jos, două recomandări foarte bune de cazare Viena chiar aproape de centru! Am ales acele opțiuni cu cel mai bun raport între preț, locație și facilități, mai ales că noi iubim să avem micul dejun inclus.

Hotelul se află foarte aproape de centrul vechi, dar și de stațiile de tramvai și metrou.

Design-ul modern, cu note retro, te fac să te simți confortabil. Micul dejun este foarte generos, iar personalul te întâmpină cu un zâmbet.

Dar, cel mai mare avantaj al locației rămâne poziția centrală, ce îți oferă acces la muuuuulte atracții deosebite, precum Palatul Belvedere, Karlskirche, Opera sau Hofburg.

Mai mult, dacă vii cu mașina, aici poți parca cu doar 16 euro/ zi, un preț deosebit de mic pentru această zonă din Viena.

Hotel Erzherzog Rainer – Cazare Viena centru cu mic dejun inclus

Hotel Erzherzog Rainer este o locație de poveste în Viena, fiind deschis în 1913.

Clădirea este superbă și se află la doar 10 minute de mers pe jos de Opera din Viena sau Karlsplaz. Camerele sunt spațioase, cu muuultă lumină naturală.

Micul dejun este inclus în preț și îți oferă o varietate de bunătăți austriece.

Aici parcarea este un pic mai scumpă, 30 euro/zi, dar compensează prețul/noapte, foarte competitiv pentru această zonă.

Ce să faci în Viena 2 zile

Descoperă mai jos informații interesante despre fiecare obiectiv turistic din Viena vizitat!

1. Belvedere Palace – One of the most beautiful places to visit in Vienna

The Belvedere Palace in Vienna was built between 1716 and 1722, in response to Prince Eugene of Savoy’s desire for a summer residence. Architect Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt designed the plans for two palaces in the Baroque style: Upper Belvedere and Lower Belvedere.

These two palaces were linked by a private garden in three terraces. This is now home to Europe’s oldest alpine garden.

Belvedere Palace hosts an exhibition of Austrian paintings. No less than 420 works of art from the Middle Ages to the present are on display. The most representative section is the one dedicated to Gustave Klimt, with his famous work “The Kiss”.

Tickets for both palaces can be purchased here. The price is 25 euro/adult.

We didn’t go inside precisely because we didn’t have the time to visit everything on our list. But we took some great photos in the Belvedere Palace garden.

2. Karlsplaz – Beautiful square in the centre of Vienna

In the immediate vicinity of Belvedere Palace is Karlsplaz.

Karlsplaz, or St. Carl platz, is arranged around the Church of St. Carl, an impressive Baroque building. Emperor Charles VI ordered this church to be built as a sign of gratitude that Vienna had escaped the plague that had swept through Europe.

You immediately notice the building by the two columns directly inspired by Trajan’s Column in Rome. There is also the possibility to take the elevator up to the church dome to admire the frescoes more closely.

The entrance fee is approx. 5 euro/adult. But even if you don’t make it in, you should know that St. Carol platz, with its fountains is an unmissable place to visit in Vienna.

3. Museum of Natural History and Museum of Art History – Maria Theresa Square

Walking along Opernring Street and admiring the beautiful buildings that appeared in front of us, we reached Maria Theresa Square. Here, everywhere you look, you see a palace.

The Museum of Art History and the Museum of Natural History in Vienna are two huge, mirrored palaces that today house two impressive museums. The digital planetarium in the Natural History Museum is one of the most modern in the world.

The Museum of Art History was built for the very purpose of housing the imperial art collections in 1891.

Between these two fascinating museums is Maria Theresa Square, where the statue of the famous Empress stands.

In December, all these main markets are buzzing with people eager to visit all the winter fairs in central Vienna.

4. Parliament and Epstein Palace – must-see Vienna tourist attractions

The Parliament building in Vienna was inaugurated in 1883 in the ancient Greek style .

Until 1918, when the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the monarchy fell, this was where the deputies of the empire that stretched from today’s Ukraine to today’s Dalmatia, or Croatia, met.

The statue you will see in front of the Parliament in Vienna symbolises the wisdom of statehood.

The entire building has 1600 rooms and 920 windows.

The Epstein Palace may go unnoticed among the many impressive buildings on the streets of Vienna. It is located next to the Parliament and is the only palace on the Ring (the artery that circles the old part of Vienna) that can be visited with a guide.

We only admired it from the outside, then headed to the Vienna City Hall.

5. Rathaus – Vienna City Hall

As already mentioned, our visit to Vienna was at the end of November. At this time of year, winter fairs are in full bloom on the streets of Vienna.

The largest fair of its kind is held in front of the town hall. So, after passing Parliament, we found ourselves in front of a huge park, full of colourful lights, the smell of gingerbread and mulled wine.

I looked up and admired for a few moments the architectural beauty of the Vienna City Hall. It was built between 1872-1883 in neo-Gothic style. It’s simply huge. The main tower of over 100 m with the statue on top of it simply takes your eyes away.

Just imagine that this town hall has an inner courtyard of 2,804 m², one of the largest in Europe.

Because of the winter rush, we didn’t stay long in the area. We admired a few talented skaters doing their thing on the rink here, looked around at all the souvenir boutiques, where, by the way, you can only pay cash, and headed home.

We started this tour in the afternoon, and it was getting late to continue. But if you have a full day to spare, head to the following attractions, as most of them are close to the town hall.

For a well-deserved break, you can go to the Volksgarden. Especially in spring and summer it is an oasis of colour and tranquillity.

6. The Dome of St. Stephen and the Market Square – the most impressive of Vienna’s sights

When I think of Vienna, this is where my mind flies.

This is our favourite part of town. The Dome of St. Stephen, or Stephankirche in German, dominates Vienna’s Old Town.

When you arrive in front of the building, after strolling through the bohemian streets, you’re struck dumb by this impressive building.

Construction of this place of worship began in the 12th century, and the tallest of its four towers is 136.4 m high.

You can visit the interior of the dome for free, where you will notice many decorative elements. You can also climb up to one of the smaller towers where you can admire the panorama of Vienna. And for those even more history buffs, this is where the tour of Vienna’s catacombs begins.

Because we were against the clock, we left the dome to get lost among the lovely streets of the old town.

7. Muzeul Sisi – În top locuri de vizitat din Viena

A visit to Vienna is incomplete without a visit to the Sisi Museum. I visited this museum on my first visit to the Austrian capital, and it was amazing. Empress Elisabeth, known as ‘Sisi’, led a controversial life in many ways.

This museum presents episodes from the life of the most acclaimed Austro-Hungarian empress. You’ll see a rich collection of personal items, from clothes and jewellery to books and other personal items.

All create the picture of a life that is perfect at first glance, but very imperfect on closer inspection.

With this ticket you can also visit the Imperial Apartments in Hofbug and the Silver Room, the Imperial Silver Collection.

8. Hofburg and Heldenplaz – Heroes’ Square

The Hofburg was a medieval fortress turned imperial residence of the Habsburgs. You can’t leave Vienna without seeing this place. Nowadays, in Heroes’ Square in front of the palace, dozens of horse-drawn carriages take tourists around to imagine what life was like in the past.

This was the residence of the Habsburgs until 1918. Today, it houses the presidential headquarters and numerous art collections.

Here you can visit, if you have time and interest, the Imperial Apartments and the Silver Chamber I mentioned earlier.

9. Opera de Stat din Viena – Ce să faci în Viena?

The Vienna State Opera is one of the most photographed sights. It is an impressive building, like most buildings in Vienna’s old town.

It was built between 1863 and 1869 and was one of the world’s first works of art .

Top performances take place here every season, with over 50 opera and ballet performances.

A ticket to the Vienna Opera is on our list, hopefully soon. Until then, you can take a guided tour of the interior.

10. Palatul Schonbrunn – Cel mai impresionant obiectiv turistic din Viena

Although last on our list of sights in Vienna, Schonbrunn Palace is perhaps the most visited tourist attraction in all of Austria. In fact, Schonbrunn Palace is, like the dome of St. Stefan, a symbol of Vienna.

Schonbrunn Palace impresses with its size and opulence. The former summer residence of the Habsburgs is surrounded by a beautiful garden with fountains and alleys where only the noble could walk.

As early as 1642 an entertainment palace was built here, since then called Schonbrunn. Then, in the period of Empress Maria Theresa, so in the middle of the 18th century, the palace and the garden are redeveloped. Schonbrunn Palace is now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The palace has no less than 1441 rooms, 45 of which can be visited. There is the possibility to take a short and a longer tour of the palace.

Here you’ll see the Hall of Mirrors where Mozart himself performed when he was just 6 years old. The interiors are decorated in a beautiful Rococo style, with some of the most precious decorations.

From the outside, it’s hard to imagine the beauty of the interior spaces. That’s why it’s worth buying a ticket to see the Imperial Rooms.

Here you can also visit the Glorieta, a monument built in 1775. You can also see the Imperial Carriage Museum, the Crown Prince’s Museum, the Orangery, the Labyrinth, the Zoo, the Palm Tree Greenhouse and the Desert Greenhouse. It all depends on how much time you have to explore the beautiful Habsburg history.

If you’re into modern art, the Hundertwasser House will be a real surprise.

Casa cunoscută pentru designul său distinctiv, conceput de artistul austriac Friedensreich Hundertwasser și arhitectul Joseph Krawina. Clădirea este caracterizată de formele organice, culorile vibrante și utilizarea materialelor naturale, precum și de absența liniilor drepte și a uniformității. Este un punct de atracție turistică important în Viena, fiind admirată pentru originalitatea și creativitatea sa arhitecturală.

Donau Turm – Turnul din Viena care se rotește

Pentru o panoramă superbă asupra orașului dintr-un turn care se rotește, mergi la Donau Turm. Aici este și un restaurant pentru care, bineînțeles, ai nevoie de rezervare.

Donauturm este una dintre cele mai înalte structuri din Viena și este remarcabilă prin designul său modernist și elegant. Turnul se înalță în mod impresionant peste peisajul urban al orașului, fiind o marcă distinctivă a liniei orizontului Vienei.

Bineînțeles, pe lângă toate acestea, poți vizita gratuit și foarte multe parcuri superbe. Printre acestea se numără grădina Palatului Schonbrunn, Burggarten park, Stadtpark sau Volksgarden.
